Pine Wood Derby Event Reminder

Friday at 6:30 pm we will be setting up the track and prepping the Beard Cafeteria for our Saturday Event. Of course anyone who has some free time and is willing to help setup please swing by.

Saturday morning at 9 am we will be doing the Goodwill/Good turn hangers. Again the more Scouts we have participate in this the faster/better it will be.

Saturday morning at 10 am is the start of the Derby. For those of you who have not done this before the way it works is below....

• Races are run by Rank.Tigers first, then Wolves, then Bears, etc
• The races are timed so after you run your set of races then you are done. We will have some other activities planned for those who will be staying to watch someof the other races.
• The Awards are based on the fastest times of all the cars runs by Rank/Pack

As in past years with the Pinewood Derby, we also take this as an opportunity to sign up the Scouts for registration on their next year of Scouting. So as you come to the Event on the 26th, please be aware we will be asking for monies in order to register the boys for next year. Den Dues will also need to be fully paid on this date if not done so already.

Information was sent to the Den leaders on what everyone owes so please reach out to your Den leader if you have specific questions. Also be aware that these are Mandatory payments that will need to be made in order to participate in the Derby that day.
