The Annual Report to State will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Each council will put together a delegation of Scouts and leaders to attend the "Report to State" held annually at the Capitol Building in Austin, Texas.

There will be no paper forms to be turned in.
The entrance fee is $35 to be a delegate at the Report to State. (Includes RTS patch, RTS hat, group photo, breakfast & delegation fee for youth. Includes hotel breakfast and RTS patch for Adult Leaders)
Additional Rules and Comments:
1) All delegates must be pre-approved by the Alamo Area Council.
2) All approved delegates must be in complete BSA Field Uniform for the 2017 Report to State Address.
3) All delegates must attend a briefing meeting/uniform inspection prior to the 2017 Report to State.
4) Those delegates interested in applying for the official Alamo Area Council delegate to give the 2017 address must submit one full page essay as to why they are interested in being chosen for the position, followed by an interview with the Alamo Area Council Report to State Team.
More information: Scouting units will march in a parade down Congress Avenue to the State Capitol. Once at the Capitol, each spokesman will make a report on the status of their council to a state official. All participants are usually welcome to view the report event in the balcony of the House Chambers.
