I want to share some upcoming opportunities for your scouts, pleases share these events with your packs, dens and scouts. Scouts may attend these events as individuals if your pack does not attend. 

Web-O-Ree at the McGimsey Scout Park

Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts are invited to participate in this event scheduled for Friday, October 28-Sunday, October 30. The scouts will have the opportunity to interact with Boy Scouts and Troop leaders from your district as they provide hands on activities and outdoor scouting skills for the Cub Scouts.

Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts will also have the opportunity to earn advancement requirements toward the following adventures:

Webelos – Cast Iron Chef (Steps 1,3,4 and 5)

Arrow of Light – Camper (Steps 2 and 3)

Spook-O-Ree Events at McGimsey Scout Park

The annual Alamo Area Council Spook-O-Ree events will be held Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5. This year’s theme is A Visit to Sleepy Hollow.

These events are intended for Cub Scouts and their entire families. Each event includes an overnight family campout, games, a spooky story time, hay ride through the forest and other fun and spooky activities.

Cub Scout Shooting Sports Event

Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to complete the requirements to earn the Shooting Awards for Archery, BB gun and Slingshot.
