Alfredo sent out a file with a list of those that signed up to place flags at Fort Sam Cemetery. If you are not in the list but should be, please let him know. If you did not sign up but later decide to take your son to the activity, please let him know so he can get summertime activity credit. You need to do 3 Pack activities to get the Summer Time pin.
If you signed up, Alfredo will contact you after the event to verify attendance. It is an honor system so all you need to do is tell us you went.

Be advised there is a New Meeting Place we just were made aware of this year:
The opening ceremony will take place at the far side of the Cemetery in the new section where the Administrative offices now are. Please use Nursery Road and do not park off Harry Wurzbach. Scouts in uniform (required) - neckerchief optional
The ground may be dry and compact in some areas. It will help if the boys bring a long screwdriver and a mallet to make a hole in the ground for the flag.
Bring plenty of drinking water. It will be hot as usual!
Parking is usually hard to find so you might want to carpool or arrive early.
The organizers will assign the packs/troops to the various sections of the cemetery. I will register the Pack when I get there.
